ARPM speaker profile: Anh Do
There is an eclectic mix of speakers coming to the Australasian Residential Property Management Conference 2012 (ARPM), which is set to go ahead on August 5 and 6 at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney.
We have motivational speakers, corporate coaches, leading property experts and successful directors - and, to keep the mood light and engaging, we also have comedians.
Introducing Anh Do, one of Australia's most sought after - and talented - stand-up stars. He will be putting a humorous spin on all things motivation during an hour long presentation on August 6.
In the meantime, here is a little more information about Mr Do.
Not just a funny guy
Everyone has their own story - even comedians. And while Anh specialises in creating hilarity on stage, he also has a serious side.
The popular television personality arrived in Australia as a refugee when he was just two years old, and has since faced his own set of challenges - from being bullied at school to dealing with divorcing parents, he is no stranger to the more sombre sides of life.
But you could argue is the reason he is so successful now is because he knows how to spin any experience into something funny, uplifting - and most of all, motivating.
Using humour to overcome obstacles
Now a sought after speaker at corporate conferences and conventions, people have realised that there is something truly inspiring about a good dose of laughter.
Not afraid to speak about his own life experiences, he shares his story in a way that will help listeners learn to overcome their own obstacles - personal and professional.
He has even written his very own autobiography, The Happiest Refugee, which shares his story in detail and was described by Russell Crowe as "the most surprising and inspiring read I have had in years".
Why ARPM 2012?
So what can real estate professionals learn from a comedian at a property management training conference?
Regardless of your career choice, we believe everyone needs a little humour to help them reach success.
Anh will be speaking on his personal journey, as well as about the many different forms of inspiration and how to approach diversity and challenge and still come out okay in the end.
ARPM 2012 will be held in Sydney in August. There will be a range of other speakers attending, as well as a Trade Show and exclusive networking opportunities. Register and learn more about ARPM 2012.
