Licence Program by Distance Learning

The Licence Program by Distance Learning offers you the opportunity to gain your licence qualification through a self-study program and will help you meet the educational requirements needed to apply for a NSW Real Estate Agents Licence. The flexible learning format is ideal for new starters in the industry, or for experienced agents who need to complete specific units of competency to apply for their NSW Real Estate Agents Licence.

Being a licensed agent gives you the flexibility to be a business owner, a contractor, or an employed sales or leasing agent for a real estate agency or development company. You'll receive knowledge and skills that will set you apart from your peers as a highly skilled professional, giving you an excellent market advantage.

To apply for your licence you are required to obtain 17 units of competency to fulfil the educational requirements of the NSW Office of Fair Trading.

  • PRDRE10A Manage agency risk 
  • PRDRE11A Provide property appraisal 
  • PRDRE13A Obtain property listings 
  • PRDRE14A Market property 
  • PRDRE15A Undertake property sale by private treaty 
  • PRDRE16A Monitor sale process 
  • PRDRE18A Lease property
  • PRDRE19A Provide property management services 
  • PRDRE23A Maintain agency client relationship 
  • PRDRE26A Conduct property sale by auction 
  • PRDRE28A Maintain trust account
  • PRDRE35A* Communicate effectively and accurately with clients
  • NSW17319A* Work in the real estate sector
  • NSW17319B* Prepare for work in the property industry
  • BSXFMI511A Contribute to the development of a workplace learning environment

* Current Certificate of Registration holders may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for these units.

The Licence Program by Distance learning can be commenced at any time. All program requirements need to be completed within a 12-month deadline for course commencement.
