Kerri-Anne, affectionately known as KAK, has been one of Australia's favourite faces since her first appearance on television in 1963. She has worked in a variety of different roles in the entertainment industry, from cabaret singer to radio station CEO.

 

Wendy McCarthy

In 1998 Wendy McCarthy was approached by a new CEO of a major financial services company who needed a confidential, independent sounding board to provide support and guidance in his efforts to reshape his leadership team and the culture of the organisation. Connecting this senior executive with a wiser, more experienced person was the start of McCarthy Mentoring. In 2012, after 16 years and nearly 600 mentoring relationships, Wendy sold the business to her daughter, Sophie McCarthy. Since then, Wendy has continued as mentor to both clients and the business.

Wendy began her professional life as a secondary school teacher and left the classroom for the boardroom after more than a decade. She has held senior executive and non- executive roles nationally and internationally and currently chairs McGrath Estate Agents, headspace – Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation and Circus Oz, and is a Director of Goodstart Early Learning and Bentham IMF. 

She is recognised nationally and internationally for her leadership in women’s issues, media, health and education.  In 1989 she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for outstanding contributions to community affairs, women’s affairs and the Bicentennial celebrations.  In 2003 she was award a Centenary of Federation medal for business leadership and in 2005 she was nominated by the Sydney Morning Herald as one of Australia’s Top 100 Public Intellectuals.  She is the author of seven books and a frequent commentator in national media. 

 

Cass O'Connor

Cass O’Connor is a leading corporate advisor, with a focus on the communications, media and entertainment industries. Currently running her own corporate advisory and investment firm, she has advised many of the major media entities (or their financiers) in Australia and has been a Director with Carnegie, Wylie & Company; Executive Director with Goldman Sachs Australia Limited; Director of Turnbull & Partners Limited and equities research analyst with Bain & Company (now Deutsche Bank).

Cass is a shareholder of Sapphire Group, multi-award winning independent film and television producer Goalpost Pictures, online creative network The Loop and We Magazines, publishers of The Hoopla and Birdee Magazine.  

Cass also serves on the Boards of McGrath Limited, The Federal Government’s Bundanon Trust and a number of ASX listed and private companies. 

 

Nicole Eckles

Nicole Eckels is the Co-Founder of Sapphire Group and the Creator of Glasshouse Fragrances and Circa Home. She has over 20 years experience both in the Cosmetic and Sales industry and had spent more than half of that time in New York City, her home town. Nicole co-founded Sapphire Group in 2007 after relocating to Sydney and discovering a gap in prestige home fragrance and hand and body categories. Her passion is creating products that absolutely deliver on all accounts, as well as building brand love, and a cult-following. Nicole is an Australian Citizen and spends the majority of her time in Sydney with her husband, Shaun and her son Gregory. 

 

Kate Stevenson

Kate Stevenson is the Managing Director of Sapphire Group, manufacturers of Circa Home, Glasshouse Fragrances and bespoke Private Label home fragrance brands. She has over 15 years’ experience in luxury goods marketing having spent most of her career at Parfums Christian Dior and Moet Hennessey. Kate joined Sapphire Group in 2009 following a chance introduction to Nicole Eckels (Sapphire Group Co-Founder). What began as a part time consulting role while raising her third child, has now become an all consuming passion while she strives to build Australian made prestige fragrance brands that are market leaders in their category. Kate lives in Sydney with her husband and three children.

 

Michele Chevalley Hedge 

Nutritionist, Author and Presenter

Michele Chevalley Hedge is a nutritionist, author and presenter. She loves food & families. Michele has three growing, hungry teenagers, a busy husband and is the founder of A Healthy View. She understands ‘busy’ and knows what families need- easy, simple and tasty ideas and knowledge to underpin a family’s wellness.

 

 

Larke Riemer 

Director of Women's Markets, Westpac

Larke Riemer is the Director of Women's Markets for Westpac. Larke has over 28 years with the Westpac Group and has worked across all areas of the bank. She has been instrumental in positioning Westpac as global best practice recognised by the World Bank after her appointment as Head of the Women's Markets Unit on 2005.

In 2009, Larke was appointed Chair of the Global Banking Alliance for Women in Banking whose mission is to accelerate the growth of women in business and women's wealth creation globally, while generating superior business outcomes for member financial institutions.

In 2010, Larke was recognised by The International Alliance for Women for her efforts in advancing economic empowerment of women worldwide and was awarded with the World of Difference award.

Bahar Etminan

At 27, she became the youngest-ever Brand General Manager for Bobbi Brown and Origins. And at 28, she moved to Paris to source products for the launch of her own beauty distributor, Brandmakers.

Just after her 30th birthday, Bahar created Australia’s first e-commerce store for cosmetics, anchoring herself as an online media visionary.

In just a few short years, RESCU evolved from an e-commerce store into a pure publishing lifestyle empire — with over 45,000 subscribers and 18,000 social media followers, and some of the hottest celebrity experts in the nation.
