Why leadership training is key to a successful real estate business
It is common knowledge that in service-based industries such as real estate, the companies that produce consistently better results are the ones with talented staff members.
In recent developments, national licensing standards are due to be rolled out some time in 2012 - a move welcomed by key players in the property market.
Chairman of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland Pamela Bennet has praised the amendments to the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act, saying that they can assist in keeping training and professional conduct at the centre of licensing standards.
Bennet asserted: "The key to providing a low-risk professional service to homebuyers and sellers is through mandating a high level of initial qualification and ongoing professional development.
"Legislation which requires that training packages are delivered at a high standard and offer a high level of learning and assessment is in line with what we have been seeking in the real estate profession for a number of years."
The new standards are set to be released for review later this year, giving savvy directors the opportunity to attend ongoing leadership development programs that may assist in developing business standards in line with the requirements.
