Real estate professionals 'looking for morale-boosters'

Industry leaders in the real estate profession are looking for ways to boost morale among agents.

Glen Twiddle, a real estate trainer, told the Brisbane Times that many agents are their own worst enemies when they fail to follow up with prospective buyers and tenants.

However, this can be easily remedied with a bit of extra effort. For example, agents would do well to follow up after open houses and make more of an effort when it comes to creating property promotional material.

Real estate agents who go the extra mile by providing additional information, offering video tours or property DVDs may find they have greater success in the industry.

Real estate training can be another way to keep agents motivated and encourage them to take a more active role in managing their business.

Attending a conference or course can be a rejuvenating way for real estate professionals to hone their skills and remain on top of their game.

Other training and professional development opportunities exist in the form of webinars, one-day or half-day masterclasses, or even an accredited course for additional qualifications.

Even books, audio CDs and DVDs can be important tools real estate agents can use to remain motivated and keep a finger on the pulse of exciting industry developments.
